Movies of the Sixties

In this assignment I want you to pick one of the movies that was produced and released in the 1960s. I want you to write a short essay minimum 2 pages, in which you explain why the movie you watched exemplifies the 1960s. What movie do you think best explains what the sixties were about.

You will use films as primary sources. You will have to read them creatively to make an argument that this film describes the 1960s ethos.

This is a subjective assignment and you will be graded on the following:

1. First sentence should include the name of film, leading actors/actresses/, director, the date of release, and main point or thesis of the film.
2. A brief summary of the plot.
3. A brief explanation of how the movie’s plot exemplifies the 1960s
4. Should be double spaced and 12 point font.
