The essay gives you an opportunity to demonstrate your individual understanding of one aspect of organizational behaviour theory and practice.
You have a choice of TWO essay titles:
1. To what extent is resistance to change inevitable in organisations and to what extent can it be managed? Critically discuss this question by drawing on relevant theories and case study examples to support your answer.
2. To what extent do traditional ‘content’ and ‘process’ theories of motivation inform more contemporary approaches to employee engagement and job design? Critically discuss this question by drawing on relevant theories and case study examples to support your answer.
You are expected to Write a 1500 words essay on any ONE of the above titles
Module Learning Outcomes:
In this assessment the following learning outcomes will be covered:
• Demonstrate knowledge and understanding of the key organisational behaviour theories, models and frameworks such as organisational culture, motivational theory and group behaviour;
• Critically evaluate how organisational behaviour drives performance and competitiveness;
• Critically evaluate the effectiveness of organisational policies and procedures in a variety of organisations;
