BEHAVIOUR OF ANIMALS ASSIGNMENT
OPTION E

CLIENT EDUCATION

SUBMISSION DATE: March 26th, 2021
Value of Total Grade: 15%
May be done in pairs

Pet owners are challenged regularly with undesired behaviours from their pets. In some cases, these behaviours are so severe that owners are left feeling that their only option is to euthanize the animal or surrender it to an animal shelter as they are unable to keep it within the home.

For this assignment, select one (1) behaviour that you feel can, with appropriate counselling from the veterinary hospital, show signs of improvement. Once selected, create a comprehensive client education piece (can be in the form of a handout, webpage, poster, etc) that includes the following information:

– Description of the behaviour
– Signs and/or symptoms that could contribute to this behaviour
– Suggestions for behaviour modification*
– Alternative measures (if applicable)
– Include other resources or sources for clients to refer to if in need of additional information
– Other information that you feel would be important to include

*This section should be quite robust as this is the focus of the assignment
