Week 3: 10+1+1 Journal
Weekly Focused Learning Assignment
Each week by Sunday night, you will need to identify the most important/key points from our material and class. From this, you will produce the following three-part submission in the Discussion section of our Canvas Classroom. You should submit these points in the comments/text box – not as an attachment,
1. A list of 8-10 points (key learnings) expressed in a single sentence each. Therefore, part one of the weekly requirement for this assignment would be 8-10 sentences. Each point should link to one or more of the required resources for the week (readings, web sites, videos). Indicate the specific resource that the point was derived from in parentheses after each point. Your citation should be sufficient for me to understand from which reading/video/website you learned the point. You can use abbreviations as long as the source is identifiable. For example, the following might be a point:
o Patients often receive medications without consideration for their gender, race, age or other factors – this contributes hundreds of thousands of deaths and injuries every year. (TED Talk by Daniel Kraft)
2. A single question that you have from the week’s topic for me to answer.
3. An interesting resource you found for the week’s topic (in addition to the ones I provide in your course content) – this can be any material that is appropriately cited (blog, article, podcast, website, etc.)
