I have picked nine topics for this assignment – see Table 1 below.
You can also use data from any other website in addition McKinsey which sets the tone. The
text book deals with these topics also in some shape or form all through the book. But given
what we have done so far and with your understanding of globalization views on both sides,
you ought to be able to internet research (certainly reading more details in the websites shown
above), think critically and do this written homework (in an onsite class I make this as debate
presentation).
There is plenty of information on the above topics in the Internet outside of the above two
website recommendations.
The objective of this homework is for students to think critically taking a ‘position’, collect
data and make a case for the stated position (Pro-Globalist or Anti-Globalist). This approach
has many advantages in addition to critical thinking – position articulation, clear writing skill
development to the point with quantification.
This is a homework where you are able to take a position on a Globalization topic (see table
below for the assigned position) and make your case in a 2 page write up with an example
(~600 words, includes all charts and tables of data; title page and reference extra 2 pages.
Max for all 4 pages in APA format. Anymore will lose points).
You have been assigned a topic and a position that you will take in this assignment – see
table below.
Submit in MS Word, APA Format. Submit in to blackboard on or before midnight second

Writing quality – strength and emphasis of taking a position, argument with an appropriate
example and conclusion. (1.5 points)
References – at least two in addition to the book. (0.25 points)
