Organizational Behaviour

Read the mini case and answer the three questions based on textbook information and critical thinking. To be eligible for full credit, students must have high quality posts that add breadth and/or depth to the conversation.

High-quality and substantive responses show the depth of understanding, demonstrate insight into the material, and are free from spelling and grammar mistakes. Responses which are purely opinion and anecdotal are not considered to be substantive in nature. Each question should provide depth of analysis, significant insight, and application to at least two course concepts. Make it easy to find different responses using a heading for each question (ie. Question 1, Question 2). Do NOT mix responses together. Please include page numbers when replying to the three questions. Response MUST be original and contain no signs of plagiarism. Note: Response must follow APA format in all citations used (i.e., in-texts and reference lists).

Requirements:

– Formatting:
– APA style format

– 3 Paragraphs properly formatted WITH the required headings:
– Question 1
– Question 2
– Question 3

– Language, Spelling, Grammar:
– Language is clear and concise with few, if any, errors

– Accurate Application of Course Concepts:
– Content reflects full understanding of the course concept and applies the concept accurately

– Reasoned Implications and Conclusions
– Competently substantiates independent points and ideas

* Read the following case by downloading the attachment.

* Answer the following questions:

1. Both these supervisors have similar backgrounds. On the basis of learning theory, how can you explain their opposite approaches to handling people?

2. What are some of the examples of punishment, positive reinforcement, and negative reinforcement found in this case? If Jane is using a reinforcement approach, how do you explain this statement: “I don’t believe in that human relations stuff of being nice to workers”?

3. How do you explain the performance, turnover, and quality results in these two sections of the production department?
