An organizational chart is a diagram that visually conveys the internal structure of the health care organization. The chart details roles, responsibilities, and relationships between individuals. Describe how you will work across and between levels of the organization at your project to achieve the measurable patient outcome for your project. Describe any impact of bureaucracy that you anticipate. Explain how organizational influence and bureaucracy both impact patient quality and safety outcomes. What are two challenges or rewards to be gained? (210 words)

Assessment Description

Describe three factors that impact cost or revenue within your organization. How might these variables impact your DPI Project deliverables? (210 words)

Assessment Description

Post your PICOT and expand in detail on your selected patient population. Include any characteristics that impact the socioeconomic/sociopolitical factors. How will these factors influence patient outcomes and the financial viability of the organization in the community? How does this align or differ from norms of the U.S. health care system? (210 words)

Select one bill from DQ 1 and discuss how it aligns with quality, safety, experience, or financial metrics in your organization. Analyze how the alignment of the bill affects quality of care delivery in your organization. As a doctorally prepared nurse, describe how you can influence change in the bills or laws shared in DQ1 to improve nursing practice. (210 words)

DQ 1

Assessment Description

Discuss a barrier to health care delivery resulting from state or federal policy or law. What changes might you recommend to the policy/law and what positive or negative impact might you anticipate on patient care? (210 words)

DQ 2

Assessment Description

Identify a nurse who serves on a state, regional, or national board, within or outside of health care. Describe the membership and mission/vision of the board. Provide background on the nurse’s preparation and qualifications for sitting on the board. How does this particular nurse holding a seat benefit the board? (210 words)
