1. Visit your NFP organization website and their IRS Form 990. What do you learn? Comment on disclosure issues (how is financial information provided at the website?).
A. Who is their auditor (name and city/state) if they prepared the IRS Form 990. If not, who signed the IRS Form 990?
List the Critical Audit Matters (CAMs), if any, included in the auditors’ report.
B. 1st page of IRS Form 990: type of organization: 501 (c) 3?
C. Assets, Liabilities, and Net Assets: how are things changing, especially at the Net Asset Level?
D. Revenues and Expenses: how do these relate?
E. Program Activities and Major funding sources and/or expenses
F. Highest paid employees or officers – any surprises?
