The confessional school of poetry emerged in the 1950s and 1960s in the USA. Confessional poets treated their poetry as an open wound of confessions
that they sought to heal through poetry. Their poems delineated the most private moments of personal experiences, the pain endured by the psyche to carry
on, psychological traumas that kept haunting them, the desire to commit suicide and their own experiences of mental illness and treatment.

will lose marks even if you use them correctly. Quote from your references directly, don’t mix a writer’s words with yours, I will consider this as plagiarism. You

Spark notes and similar websites, please use the databases you have on the university portal or on QNL such as Jstor, Taylor and Francis, EBSCO, Springer,
…. etc. This is not a reflection essay where you simply write your own impressions of the poems, this is a research-based paper, which means you must read
and interact with the critics who worked on your chosen poems. Of course your personal opinion and your own critical voice are significantly important, but
you must also show the research efforts that had been exerted to write your paper.
Your paper must have a cover page with your name, the title of your paper, the word count and your signature on the plagiarism note
