• Aside from introduction, make bulleted statements or short statements
• Divide poster into sections with titles of each section
• Overall appearance is important – is it neat and organized, does it stand alone, does it catch your attention, is the writing large enough to see, does it include too much text?

• Use the text box icon under the insert menu or type into Word and paste into PowerPoint
• Suggested font sizes
o 60 for title (bold)
o 50 for names (bold)
o 40 for institution (
o 40 for section titles (bold)
o 32 for text
o Experiment with fonts and print to see actual sizes and appearances.

 Select “Scale to Fit Paper” under full page slides
Titles: Insert under or above text, figures, graphs, and pictures as a text box.
Artwork: Use insert function or copy and paste directly.
