Portfolio: a physical representation of your abilities and accomplishments.
It is a “tool” for selling yourself to potential employers. Showcase your best works and indicates potential future achievements.

ePortfolio should:
Identify your career objectives

ePortfolio
An eportfolio should document your qualifications or credentials, skills, knowledge, education, and experience. It should contain samples of best works
(class projects, previous and current jobs, etc).It is created from past accomplishments and showcases your abilities in writing, critical-thinking, decisionmaking, technical expertise, etc. It should reflect your educational accomplishments, transcriipt, community involvements, volunteer services, etc.
Photographs and newspaper clips are good items for a portfolio. Certificates, professional membership and status, letters of thanks or appreciation, and
letters of recommendations are other important items. Awards, internship experiences, experiences from previous and current jobs should provide inputs for
a portfolio. Projects are good materials for a portfolio. A resume and a cover letter should be part of your portfolio.
Software Skills
We live in an age of high technology and the computer has become the workhorse in very industry. Basic computer skills include literacy in office packages
and the Internet. Word processing, spreadsheet and power skills are considered basic computer skills today. Competence in the use of the Internet for
information searches and communication is taken for granted. You must have these skills to be employable in any career today. A working knowledge of
databases is a plus. Special computer skills are career specific. You should be proficient in at least three popular packages in your chosen career. In
mechanical design technology for example, you should be proficient in AutoCAD, Inventor, or Solidworks, or Solid Edge, or ProE, and Cosmos, Algor or
ANSYS. etc. In architectural design, you should be proficient in AutoCAD, Revit, or AutoCAD Architecture, or Building Systems, and one analysis software.

Professional
Performs quality work efficiently and effectively without supervision.
