At a Glance!
Description:
This module will explain how the project will be completed as it is linked to the project purpose and objectives identified in DNP Project I. This section includes a narrative of the interventions, and the tools/instruments that will be used to achieve the objectives and carry out the interventions of the QI project. Tools/instruments should measure results be congruent with the project purpose, objectives, clinical question, and population of interest.
Once you have completed this section, submit the final version and supplementary materials to the IRB Support Materials drop box for review. The project team will complete a final review of your tools/instruments and determine whether an IRB review is required.

Course Objectives:
CO 1: Synthesize current literature pertaining to the DNP project topic in order to apply realistic interventions to promote evidence-based practice.
CO 2: Formulate appropriate, realistic interventions that accomplish DNP project objectives.
CO 4: Discuss research ethics and human subject protection including recruitment methods for the DNP project.
CO 7: Utilizing the process of scholarly inquiry, design changes in nursing practice or the healthcare arena that will best serve a diverse population and workforce.
CO 8: Examine the significance of the DNP project topic to nursing, healthcare, and the practice of nursing leadership.

Module 2 Lesson
The purpose of this section is to illustrate how the clinical question will be answered. You will show how the project will be implemented using the objectives created in DNP Project I. When reviewing the objectives, think about how will you obtain the data to measure them. A detailed discussion of interventions will be required, in order to create a project that can be replicated by others. Identify the tools/instruments you plan to use to evaluate the project problem. Tools/instruments can be published/established or created by you.
Supplementary evidence is required to support the work shown in the proposal however, it is too awkward to be incorporated into the body of the proposal. This evidence will be included in the appendices section of the paper. The appendices are used to store supplementary evidence that is important to finish project implementation. Supplementary evidence can include theoretical frameworks graphics, tools/instruments, permission letters, and IRB materials.

Section 2 Outline
The Section 2 Outline is due at the end of this week. Your PI will give you feedback on your ideas before you start writing the narrative.
In Section 2, you will provide the reader with a description of your interventions (e.g. the activities you will undertake to meet your objectives). As part of this process, you should develop a visual timeline (figure) by for implementing the interventions and include it as an appendix. The other section is the tools, such as surveys, educational presentations/handouts, and chart audit forms that you will use during implementation. It is highly recommended that you get to work on determining your tools quickly, as it will take time to obtain permission for use (if using a published tool) or go through the CVI (content validity index) process if you’re developing your own. Please reach out to your PI for guidance.
