Purpose: The purpose of this assessment is for students to critically evaluate theories and models for analysing cultures, develop research skills, and communicate managerial practices.
Description: Using the Problem-based learning method, the student demonstrates academic writing and research skills to write an essay of a maximum length of 2500 words. Instructions and Overview
For this assignment, you need to select one topic from among eleven of the most notorious failed mergers and acquisitions (M&A) of all time (the list below) and craft your Problem-Based Learning (PBL) essay. This assignment aims to improve your M&A knowledge and Problem-Based Learning practise as well as provide insights. The weight of this assignment is high (35%). Therefore, finding a cultural difference theme in the selected topic, the quality of the argument based on a theory, and crafting an academic essay (i.e., academic writing such as grammar, cohesion, and citation in the text and using relevant and current references in APA style) may bring you a High Distinction Mark (HD).
