– Writing Assignment #2: Conservation
Your assignment is to complete at least one of the 4 Conservation tasks (See Chapter 5) with a child in the age range of 3-8 years and document your process and response in a two page paper. This will be due at the end of Week 14. The APA guidelines you will follow for this writing assignment do not involve the citation of sources, but instead involve APA Guidelines for Ethical Research. That is, you must obtain verbal consent from the child (and parent), allow them to stop at any time, etc.
o Suggestions for two pages: What type of conservation did you choose? What did you do exactly? (step by step) Who did you use as a participant? How old was the child? What was their response (in detail)? Is that typical according to Piaget/did that surprise you?, etc.
