Book Critique

w​‌‍‍‍‌‍‍‌‌‍‌‍‍‌‌‌‍‍‍‍​e have listed four books from which you are to choose one to read, discuss with peers, and of which you will write a critique. While reading the book, and when writing your critique, please be sure to think about and include the following elements: · What is the basic perspective of the author? · What are the main points the author is making? · What concepts about literacy development and learning are reflected in this book? · What thoughts, questions, and inspirations came to your mind as your read? · Were there any thoughts in the book with which you disagreed, or perhaps didn’t understand? · How does this book relate to or connect your thoughts to other texts, events, or ideas you’ve encountered in your life? · How is this book relevant ​‌‍‍‍‌‍‍‌‌‍‌‍‍‌‌‌‍‍‍‍​to you as a teacher? · How would you apply the theories and ideas in this book in a classroom? *In addition, you will select one of the following books to read for your Book Critique assignment.
