Assignment 1: Group presentation (40% of total marks) November 29, 2021
A group presentation providing a solution you have developed to deal with an issue provided by a client group. The presentation will be 5 minutes and there will be 10 minutes of questions from the panel of judges.
In your designated group you will, during your field trip to Church Street market in Edgware Road identify and build a relationship with a local not for profit organisation or social enterprise.
By your discussion with them you will identify an issue that they currently have that needs resolution for the ongoing success of their organisation.
Using the design thinking tools, techniques and processes that you have practiced during this module and any others you will derive a solution for that particular issue.
On November 29, 2021 as a group you will make a five (5) minute presentation recommending the course of action that you believe the organisation should implement and describe the process by which you arrived at that solution. At the end of your presentation the panel of judges will question you for a maximum of ten (10) minutes to give you an opportunity to clarify the solution that you have proposed.
Please note that some of the marks that you receive for this assignment will be awarded by the client in their judgement of the effectiveness of solution that you propose – it is therefore important that you maintain a good working relationship with the client representative and that you establish contact between that representative and the teaching team. Additionally, it is good working practice!
