“Tell us why you want to join the Commercial Business Graduate Scheme at British Airways? In your answer, please include:
• Your skills and qualities that would make you an excellent fit
• What you’d enjoy the most and why?
• What you think you’d get out of the scheme.”
I also received these suggestions from the recruitment team. I would be grateful if you could consider these suggestions as well. I have attached my CV.
“If you are unsure of how to answer these at the moment, I would first recommend doing your research. Look at all the role requirements and think about and demonstrate how your strengths and experience line up to those. Also think about why you want to join BA & the industry, why do these stand out to you from other companies/industries. Also think about the challenges the industry and airline might be facing at the moment, this will show you’ve done your research and are genuinely interested in the role & company (Examples can be competitor news, look into the alliances & joint businesses we have (e.g. the AJB – our transatlantic joint business), what we are doing in terms of innovation/sustainability, the impact on the business from covid 19 & how we are recovering – issues regarding capacity last year caused by staff shortages including the cap Heathrow put on passenger numbers.) You should be able to find information about all these things online, good resources for this would be on the BA website, online articles and LinkedIn posts & articles. Coming across well interested and enthusiastic is important, and I think the above will help that. I hope that helps you answer the first stage of the application process.”
