2- Perceptions of an Athlete’s Performance/well-being During Ramadhan

My dissertation is on exploring perceptions of an athlete’s performance/well-being during Ramadhan

In my introduction I would like some background on what current findings and literature states about the whole aspect of fasting for Ramadhan in sport. I would also like current gaps/limitations shown on the athlete’s fasting during Ramadhan addressed.

The main rationale of my whole study explore into an individual athletes own personal experiences taking into consideration factors such as, logistics, training regimes, sleep/dietary patterns, current/historic coping strategies, to help assist in building a clear framework and picture to exactly the implications Ramadhan has on an athlete’s performance & well-being. If these listed factors could be mainly elaborated on within the introduction that would be great, and from the research some notable experiences from athletes fasting during Ramadhan demonstrated within the introduction and how research has shown more qualitative methods towards investigating perception’s and experience’s athlete’s have a had show stronger advantage over quantitative measures used. |If some literature perhaps showing how the use of IPA analysis is beneficial with some emphasis on how interpretivism and relativism approach to this kind of research conduction is beneficial for this subject area.
