• locate a model(theory) from a different discipline (other than nursing) that you could apply to nursing. Models can be found in leadership, business, education, and technology
• explain why you have chosen the model
• apply the model to your advanced practice role as a Family Nurse Practitioner
1.Start with an introduction – explain the model and why you have chosen the model.
2.List 5 characteristics of the model you have chosen. Provide a source of support for each characteristic. List an application to a Family Nurse Practitioner role that corresponds with each characteristic. Include a source of support/s for each application.

Characteristic 1: Meetings need to have a purpose(Ampherson, 2017)
Application to Family nurse practitioner:
When there is a clear purpose for the meeting that is meaningful, the invited participants will be more interested in attending. In a pediatric clinic, the FNP sent out email reminders about the purpose and topic of the session prior to the meetings. Nursing staff blocked out time at the beginning of the day so they could attend the weekly educational session taught by the FNP. He had better attendance than when he just put it on the weekly clinic calendar. (Zanta et al., 2018).
