Briefly share a recent language or literacy lesson/activity or interaction that you shared with students in your classroom (or a lesson that a lead teacher implemented and you assisted). What was the goal of the activity, the items that were used, and the types of questions and teaching strategies that were used during the activity to support and engage student’s learning?

Here are some questions to consider: Would the goal of this activity remain the same? Would you use additional materials or teaching strategies? How would you draw on the strengths of DLL students’ full linguistic capacities? What types of questions would you add or modify? What information would you collect from families and/or students prior to the activity to integrate their funds of knowledge?
