For this Writing Assignment you will be bringing to life a portion of what you read in Harriet Jacobs autobiography “Incidents in the Life of a Slave Girl.”
On page 130 Jacobs stated “My master had power of law on his side; I had determined will. There is might in each.”
This is a powerful statement on Jacobs part. What did Jacobs mean by this statement? To answer this question you need to detail specific examples from the book where her master’s power of law was clear. You will then need to detail the specific examples of where Jacobs determined will was evident. You will also need to make sure to show how there was might in each one. You will need to detail specific examples from the autobiography to make sure that you are clearly answering the question.
