Research TOPIC: Adaptive Reuse of Anhalter Bahnhof/Deutsches Technik-Museum
Introduction:
  With the continuous development of cities and the emerge necessity of History preservation which it is the identity of every city and inhabitants culture as well. In focus to my case “Anhalter Bahnhof/Deutsches Technik-Museum” was until the middle of the 20th Century one of the most important long-distance stations in Berlin. Today, the station of the same name is still operated by the underground North South S-Bahn and the fragment of the portico try to remind visitors of its important role in successive periods of time and its important historic layers which are part of the crucial historic layers of the City itself and its surrounding.
Aims:
  This research is going to focus on reviewing the historic layers of the inherited Site and investigate the planning decisions and actions that have been taken to represent the optimal possible choices that could applied to preserve the Historic site and to learn and understand after time whether these choices have been succeeded in preserving and reflecting different historic layers existing within the Site. In order to improve the critical thinking and planning decisions considering the Taking into account all the facts and possibilities in preserving and developing future historic sites to be a bridge from past to future.

Research Objectives:
To determine the factors of the Adaptive Reuse of the site.
To determine the Impact of Tourism on the Historic site.
To understand the harmony between the surroundings and the historic Building.

What Factors determined the Adaptive Reuse?
What is the Impact of Tourism in adaptive reuse of Historic site?
To what extent could the Adaptive reuse of the Surroundings help in Historic site preservation?
