Developing a Research Question

The first step of your literature review is the development of a research question. See the PowerPoints for the weeks on explaining and developing research questions and any additional readings on D2L for some helpful tips in developing a research question. Pick a topic that is not too broad and not too narrow, that can be assessed with existing literature. (If you were developing your own research project, you might try to fill gaps in the literature, but that is not what this assignment is.)

Remember that this question will start you off on an exploration of the research literature and should address an interesting topic, issue, or problem in the field of HDAS.

For your assignment, please include the following:
• (50%) A clear and distinct research question
• (25%) A paragraph explaining your personal interest in the topic
• (25%) A paragraph explaining how this topic is related to field(s) within HDAS

This should be around a page or less (that’s about 250 words, double-spaced).
