Rationale for Measure: Students will demonstrate knowledge and values of basic concepts and principles on public social welfare policy, social welfare program designs, and the instruments through which they are expressed: governmental organizations, public departments, welfare bureaus and faith-based organizations.
Students will identify one agency program to evaluate by generating reports that can be effectively used by administrators. Identify all services Project/Program/Grant
How long has what is being evaluated been in place?
Is it in the planning or implementation stage?
• Planning can be defined as a new program and implementation is considered in existence.
2. PROGRAM MONITORING READ THE ENTIRE CHAPTER 4/5 FOR THIS SEC.
• Decide what program, products, events, or activities should be evaluated (required to identify 3). Identify how the agency monitors the success of each goal and objective. If the agency does not have a monthly measure, create a format pg. (Ch. 5-Process Evaluation: Program Monitoring, Becoming A Program Monitor)
• Methods (Chapter4)
Program Services (what will be monitored for the month). The program services must support the program goals- review the case study listed above.
Identify and Evaluate 5 program goals/objectives – Chapter 5, Goals and Objective structures are provided between pages 123-127
Examine the programs’ goals and objectives by comparing the program services, with the agency’s mission and vision statement. Evaluate how the program objectives and goals align with services offered to clients (pg. 140) List 5 Goals and Objectives in this section.
(Methodology) READ ALL of Chapter 4
• Qualitative, Quantitative, or Mixed Method
• Sampling Process-Deviant case sampling, typical case sampling, maximum variation sampling, snowball sampling, convenience sampling, negative case sampling, and politically powerful sampling.
• Explain how the steps to implement your method Qualitative/Quantitative/Mixed Method and HOW do you COLLECT the data.
Inputs, Process, and Outputs (Chapter 5, What Should Be Monitored) The agency may have a Logic Model available this is permitted. If the Logic Model is not available you are allowed two options: 1) Create a Logic Model Chart or chart with the Inputs, Process, and Outputs (chart is acceptable). 2) Provide a narrative discussing the Inputs, Process, and Outputs.

To answer this questions INPUTS, OUTPUTS, and PROCESS what can the agency do to improve the operations for the program.
***** Create (2) two forms to support Program Quality Assurance*****
*****Create (1) one policy statement for the items selected in the PROGRAM QUALITY ASSURANCE describing how the agency will implement the service, monitor, and utilize resources to improve client outcomes******
Identify (4) agency outcomes and provide descriptive goals for each – (1) consider if the agency has realistic goals (2) are the current goals and objectives supportive for the agency and should not be changed (3) does the agency need to put specific service or resources in place-Partnerships, (4) does the agency have a sound technology structure in place, (5) does the agency have a clear onboarding and training for staff.
Identify (2) supportive readings on the EBP model the agency is using to support the effectiveness with the population serviced. This will require researching on evidence base curriculum that supports program objectives. Connect this section back to the Inputs, Outputs and process.
