Prompt: . What is the role of learning strategies in second language acquisition according to the cognitive processing theory of SLA (be sure to explain the cognitive theory of SLA in your answer)? In addition, explain O’Malley and Chamot’s metacognitive, cognitive, and social strategies. What are some strengths and weaknesses of using learning strategies in the language classroom with students?
