In the history of humankind, numerous exemplary leaders have existed that reshaped the course of the world. However, for this essay, the person I wish to
analyze is Abraham Lincoln. The biography title that I read for this essay is I am Abraham Lincoln (Ordinary People Change the World). Abraham Lincoln, who
was the 16th President of the United States, is considered one of the most influential leaders the world has seen. He is considered the most influential
President of the country.
Lincoln is famous for using his executive powers as the country’s President to abolish slavery in the United States. Furthermore, he pulled the country out of
a deadly civil war and reunited the people (Bush, 2014). He had a difficult childhood; however, he taught himself in his spare time. Lincoln was an avid reader,
and he did not put an end to this habit even after achieving so many of his goals. Lincoln’s sheer belief, hard work, determination, and perseverance made
everything possible, and I hope to learn more about these traits for my personal development.
Lincoln effectively used the structural and human resource frameworks to achieve his objectives. He effectively used the HR framework by finding the right
balance between people and organizations to pull the country out of civil war. Lincoln has effectively used the guidelines for leadership mentioned
throughout his life. His influence was immense, and he motivated the soldiers and the politicians to put an end to the gruesome war and pass the anti-slavery
bill that granted equal rights to the Black people living in the country (Bush, 2014).
