Discussion: Making It Personal
While high-quality, developmentally appropriate curricula and materials can provide a strong foundation for any learning experience, it is always important to consider how each child’s unique interests, strengths, and challenges are being addressed. As well, understanding each child’s background and cultural experiences can help make learning experiences more meaningful. The goal is to make learning memorable and personal for all children, so they will be able to relate to, remember, and build on their learning.
For this Discussion,. you will examine strategies for personalizing and differentiating learning that is culturally responsive and promotes active engagement.
