The Team Contract, sometimes referred to as a Team Charter, is an effective tool used to guide your team with sharing leadership responsibilities and achieving mutually defined goals. Read the Team Roles sheet, found in the Team Project folder, and other on-line resources, to help you build a solid team.
TEAM CHARTER INSTRUCTIONS
PURPOSE AND TEAM OBJECTIVES
For this class, you will work in a team to complete the COM 211 Team Project and Presentation. Your objective is to master the course material related to the project and demonstrate your mastery in the final project and presentation. It is essential that you work together effectively as a team to be successful. Remember, you will coordinate your teamwork virtually, since this is an on-line course.
Determine the skills sets of your team members and assign roles to accomplish the necessary tasks. State each team member’s role and the tasks for which they are responsible. Use the ‘Team Roles’ sheet provided in class. You may add tasks to it, as needed.

When is it OK for a team member to miss a meeting? How will team members be informed?

SELF AND TEAM ASSESSMENT
You will be required to complete assessments at the end of the semester. You will use this team charter for your reference.
Compose a document that contains all components of your contract. At the top of the page, in the upper left hand corner, include your team name and the names and role of each team members. PLEASE NOTE: Provide a signature section on the last page, print the team member’s name and provide a line for each team member to sign and date acknowledging that he/she is aware of the policies the team has determined. APA format is not required for the Team Charter.
