(1) Explain briefly what you learned in class about the ancient silk roads. For example, what countries and cities were connected by the silk roads? Why are they called the “silk roads”? What else was traded besides silk? How was religion spread on the silk roads?
(2) In your opinion, how do you think the silk roads, sand roads, and maritime routes contributed to early “globalization”?
You could also include a brief note about how Alexander the Great may have made connections between the Mediterranean and Asia before the silk roads.
