SECTION 3: CA Framework Activity, Materials and Interactions (10 points)
You will only be noting Math OR Science in this section. Please only write about one. Describe one activity
using a short 3 sentence anecdote, then describe your Framework quality connections.
Connect to the CA Preschool Curriculum Framework Volumes 1 and 3- Math OR Science Sections
Review the “Guiding Principles” and note one that was demonstrated in the observed video with description
of what you observed that demonstrated proof as evidence of the principle in action.
Review the “Environment and Materials” section and note one that was demonstrated in the observed video
with description of what you observed that demonstrated proof as evidence of the quality criteria.
Choose the one strand, then sub-strand that best suits the observed children in the video. Choose one
suggested interactions and strategies that support this domain learning explaining the demonstrated quality
strategy.
