“The Oxford Investment Programme (OIP) is a specialised summer school with the main focus on
Economics, Business, Finance, and Accounting. The lectures were structured around the investment
experience of the course leader who had taught Finance at University of Oxford and who currently
managed an investment portfolio of around half a million US dollars. Hence, we had first-hand exposure to
value investment, strategic thinking, behavioural economics which is applicable to the investor and we also
analysed and valued 3 publicly traded companies (BRK, APPL, RELL). These companies were very
different in nature and I learned that valuations must be tailored to the specific circumstance of each firm.
After the summer programme it was Nice to be able to apply what we learned into practice almost
immediately.”
