-How do they use language and sytax in this specific item?
-How doesthis element affect the other characters in the stories?
Focus on the question “WHY”
Why dothe characters in these examples make specific choices?
Why do the authors include this element in the stories?
What is revealed by comparting these two different elements in the two stories?
Do not use “I think” or “In my opinion”. Allow your argument to stand on its own.
