Quality Planning Improvement

You have been asked to evaluate a process in your work area and provide a report to the Quality Management team identifying strengths and weaknesses in the facilities quality improvement planning.
Based on the readings for this module, identify a process used in your work or clinical area. After identifying the process, create a flowchart that outlines the process. (Refer to your readings for flowchart explanation) Look for processes that contain the key quality characteristics (healthcare metrics).
After completing a flowchart of the process inputs and outputs, analyze the process for possible problems, redundancies, omissions, etc . that may adversely affect the quality in your professional work.
In 2-3 paragraphs, explain your findings and recommendations. Address the following questions in your report.
1. Define the process improvement outcome or goal – How will you improve patient safety?
2. What performance measure might be used to evaluate and monitor your process improvement plan?
3. What tools or methods can be used to analyze your data?
