Policy Memorandum, Part 4
Purpose:
The primary goal of this assignment is to expand on your policy memorandum to consider ways technology can increase government transparency and success of the policy implementation.
Prepare:
Research different federal, state, and local governments. Learn the different services they provide their constituents to stay informed about implemented policies, and the ways they interact with their constituents through technology. Consider how these different e-government approaches (e.g., providing information to the public about policies, providing RSS and other interactive communication feeds, e-training, payment services, traffic or other helpful apps, etc.) might be useful for the issue area you are researching.
Write:
In your assignment, complete the following:
Provide a description for three different examples of e-government practices that might be useful for the issue area you are researching.
Explain the benefits of implementing one or all of the examples.
Assignment Requirements:
Must be at least three pages (not including the cover page) and formatted according to APA style.
Must include a proper policy memo cover page which includes:
Title of policy memorandum
Student’s name
Date submitted
Must use the proper section headings.
Must use at least eight appropriate sources:
These could include the article and any of the required or recommended resources for this week.
You can also include additional resources found on the Aurora University Library web site. Make sure to use scholarly, peer-reviewed articles or books for your sources.
Must document all sources in APA style.
