You should choose an issue with which you have personal experience but not something so large that it will be impossible to cover in a single essay. Your essay is expected to:
clearly state a problem
explain its seriousness
propose a solution
further to defend that solution by considering the value of alternative solutions
For this essay, you are required to do some, but not extensive, research, citing 2-3 sources in MLA. Your sources must be cited using in-text citations and a Works Cited list at the end of the text.
