POLICY STUDIES INSTRUCTIONS
You will complete 2 policy studies in this course:

Policy Study 1: Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act. Readings available in MindTap. The link to the reading is available through Course Content-Week/Module 4-Reading and Study labeled “HIPAA Readings”.

Policy Study 2: Medicare Access and CHIP Reauthorization Act. Readings available in MindTap. The link to the reading is available through Course Content-Week/Module 8-Reading and Study labeled “MACRA Readings”.

Please note, you do not need to read every single source in the Readings folders. These are readings simply consolidated for you to use as one of the peer-reviewed articles required for the assignment. Additionally, you could find your own peer-reviewed scholarly sources, it does not have to be in the folder.

Research each policy and respond to the discussion questions below.

1. How has the health policy transformed health care delivery?
2. What are the positive and negative effects of the health care policy?
3. What recommendations do you have to enhance the policy in its current state?

Each Policy Study must be at least 1,000 words, cite at least 2 peer-reviewed journal articles in addition to the course textbook, and include biblical integration. Each Policy Study must be double-spaced, follow current APA format, and include a title page and a reference page. The word count does not include the title page and the reference page.

Submit Policy Study 1 by 11:59 p.m. (ET) on Monday of Module/Week 4.

Submit Policy Study 2 by 11:59 p.m. (ET) on Friday of Module/Week 8.
