Review your textbooks concerning management, supervision, policies, procedures, work performance and productivity.
Step 2
Develop a policy and procedure to allow for the performance of remote HIM work activities (hospital and clinical settings).
After you determine how you will monitor their work performance and productivity, create an instrument for employees to document and report their weekly duties.

To demonstrate an understanding of HIM professionalism. Review textbooks related to management and supervision.
Step 2
Using Wix.com create a website for marketing the functions, purpose and goals of the HIM department to others within the facility.

Step 1( third file )
To demonstrate an understanding of the management functions. Review textbooks related to management and supervision, management functions and the budgeting process. Peruse The Joint Commission site on COVID-19.
Step 2
Develop a disaster and recovery plan for the HIM department that includes a budget. According to the National Center for Biotechnology Information , a disaster plan should include the fours phases of comprehensive emergency management: mitigation, preparedness, response, and recovery. Concerns to be addressed include:
Continuity of patient care
Safety of personnel
Confidentiality of patient and employee information
Security of information and equipment
Continuance of productivity (where, when, who and how)
