Personal Statement
Your personal statement should include a brief overview of who you are, your strengths, and any work experience and/or education you’ve got. Be sure to include skills you’ve gained, such as time management, customer service, teamwork, computer skills etc.do not forget to mention your major and credit hours earned so far. Please remember personal statement is:
A picture. Provide a snapshot of who you are as a person.
An invitation. Your job is to “bridge the assumed distance of strangers.” Invite your reader to get to know you.
A story, or more precisely, your story. The personal statement allows you room for creative, meaningful self-reflection.
