Literacy Narrative

Prepare a written literacy narrative about a skill you’ve become literate about (learned) over time. It should be approximately 500 words (a mini-literacy narrative). You may write on absolutely any skill you’ve learned—it is 100% your choice. The literacy narrative should recount the events surrounding your journey (from beginning to end) to learn (become literate in) the skill you choose to write about. Again, this does not have to refer to an academic skill—it can be any skill. Alongside the narrative, an analysis of how and why that skill developed should take place, which you’ll interweave with the narrative text to create an interesting, well-written read. Though this is a low-pressure assignment (do not spend hours on it), you should give your careful attention to the requirements of the rubric, and you should also give your attention to writing it well
