Please answer both essay questions below. Each essay is worth 50 points. Each essay must be at least two pages long (double-spaced and font size of 12). You are more than welcome to write more than two pages for each essay. You may use any sources (your textbook, etc.) to answer these questions. Please make sure to give proper citations if you utilize any sources. MLA format is a must. Twenty five (25) points (out of 50 points) will be deducted for an essay that lacks complete MLA format (work cited page, In-Text citations, etc.).

TURNITIN software is already embedded in the exam drop box. Please make sure your similarity percentage does NOT exceed 10%. I have no problem if you use many sources to do your essays. Please make sure to put things in your own words. Don’t just copy and paste materials! Once again, make sure similarity percentage does NOT exceed 10%. An essay with similarity exceeding 10% will lose at least twenty five (25) points (out of 50 points). An essay with similarity exceeding 30% will automatically gets a zero.

There are many types of governments in the world today. What characteristics do political scientists use to distinguish between different types of government? What are the defining characteristics of an autocracy, an oligarchy, and a democracy? What are the defining characteristics of a constitutional government, an authoritarian government, and a totalitarian government?

The process of ratifying the Constitution generated extensive disagreements between Federalists and Antifederalists. Discuss three issues that divided the Federalists and Antifederalists during the ratification debate and summarize each side’s arguments on these issues.
