Discussion Question

*To receive credit for a discussion board post, you must cite two sources which you used to develop your answer to the main thread.General guidelines: Postings must be made by the deadline for each unit for the assignment to be considered complete. Please post your word count at the end of each and every posting made in the discussion forum. The expectation is that students have completed the assigned readings prior to engaging the discussion topic, and not before. This allows the discussions to remain relevant to the assigned topics. You may not go back and address discussion topics once the Unit has been completed. The deadline for the discussion postings will be as noted in the syllabus. Again, both the original and reply posting must be submitted for your work to be considered complete.
Please Note: All of your discussion board posts except for the introduction must include two APA formatted citations at the end of your post. Citations do not count toward your word count. APA format does include citing the year and author used within the text or paragraph you submit as your post. Even if you reword or paraphrase the original author’s work, credit must be given to the author within your discussion board post in APA format. You do not have to cite sources in your responses to other students, but, you do have a word count.

Part I – Original Posting Guidelines: During each unit, you are expected to post an answer (in your own words) to questions posed in each discussion forum. Please do not wait until the deadline to make your submission as other may wish to reply to your posting. Each activity involves an element of independent research and critical analysis. The questions address your understanding of central themes in the textbook and your ability to think critically about the course material.

Your responses are to be in essay format. Be sure to fully explain your position, citing the aforementioned two academic sources. The grade for each original posting will be determined by the quality, depth and originality of your answer / essay. The minimum writing requirement is 400 words for each question, be sure to add your word count at the end of the posting.
