Discussion: Annotation

Kirk (2016) stated Annotation as “the simple need to explain things” to the viewer using the correct balance to be effective. There are two main groups of annotation designs where are project and chart.

For this discussion, select two of the following data visualizations from the book companion site, include the figure number and title/name and describe the annotations which would include if these are in the project or chart group of designs. Include your perspective on the use of the annotations and also include what would enhance or increase the effectivity as it relates to annotations and why.

These must be accessed from the book companion online website – not from the text. This site can be found at http://book.visualisingdata.com/
