Your final digital cultures project is a blog post-style essay that incorporates some scholarly theories and citations. The entire post should be roughly 2500-3000 words, the length of a long-form feature for a popular publication. It should also include a reference list (any citation style is fine, but make sure you are consistent).
The post should include embedded links and images in the form of screenshots or other visuals.
As for the general format, I recommend starting with a visual or textual “hook” to pull the reader in for the first paragraph or two. Then you should have what journalists call a “nut graf” or the paragraph where you reveal the kicker of your argument – or your thesis, in academic terms. You are still making an argument and using scholarly materials to support your claims, even if this is a more popular writing style than a formal research paper.
