Design/Media Arts: Media Histories (Writing a review of an exhibition)

The type of paper is actually a review an exhibition of Tishan Hsu: Liquid Circuit.
The class is Design/Media Arts which talks about Media Histories, and it requires to write a short review. I
had to attend an event, show, lecture etc. that deals with themes discussed in class. This is mostly any event
that involves photography, television, film, digital media. Write a review of that event, show, lecture etc.
For this Tishan Hsu’s exhibition review paper, please write a review of this person’s exhibition.
Since I had to go to the exhibition for this review myself, the pictures I uploaded were also taken at the
Hammer Museum by myself. So, please notice this when writing this review paper.
Things to include in the review :
Describe what is noticed and how it affects you. Are things hung on the walls, suspended from the ceiling,
placed on tables? Where is the entrance and exit, and how do you move in between? How are people
handling time-based media (sound,video)? What can you touch/listen to/smell/taste? At what point are you
bored, tired, inspired, frustrated? Why? How are other visitors moving in the space? How does that contrast
with your experiences? Can you think of 2 or 3 works that stood out? Did you feel anything? Why or why
not?
