As part of your review, we expect you to discuss and cite at least 10 papers that include the terms “statistical learning” in their abstract, keywords, or title. All papers must have been published after 1996, although most of the review should focus on more recent papers published in the last 5 years. Each of these papers must include some empirical psycholinguistic work (i.e., they cannot be pure review papers, opinion papers, or computational modeling papers, but should include some behavioural, neuroimaging, neurostimulation, or patient data). You are free to cite and discuss any papers that you find relevant to your paper in addition to those 10 empirical papers.
You will be evaluated on how well you have summarized the findings in these papers, your critical analysis of what statistical learning theory has been shown to explain in relation to psycholinguistic behaviour, the quality and clarity of your writing, your ability to flag outstanding issues or limitations with the existant literature that could benefit from future studies (be specific), and your paper’s conformity to the APA guidelines.
