Your assignment is to identify and gather information on a childhood disorder and a facility that addresses the needs of those with the disorder. This activity affords students the opportunity to gain more in-depth understanding of the biopsychosocial dimensions of human behavior and the social environment by examining a childhood disorder that is of personal interest. Students will demonstrate conducting a literature search and preparing a paper. Students will demonstrate understanding of an agency as a social system by studying an agency that serves a specific childhood population and preparing a description of the selected agency. This assignment addresses the basic principles of individual development within the social context as explicated in ecological, systems, strengths, empowerment and diversity perspectives and the practice behaviors related to scientific inquiry, the “use and translate research evidence to inform and improve practice and service delivery” (Competency 2, 3 & 4).
You are to identify and gather information about a facility that addresses the needs of those with the childhood disorder researched in Part I. You may visit an agency, conduct a virtual tour of an agency, or conduct a telephone interview with an appropriate agency person.

Your final paper should follow the outline below:
