A Systemic Literature Review
• • Reading/s: Read the literature review articles published by your peers as an outcome of taking this course (Madriaga & Huber, 2019; Martinez & Huber, 2019; Salazar & Huber, 2018; Rios-Sobrevilla & Huber, 2019; Villanueva & Huber, 2019). Review the structure and content of the audit trail tables. Peruse the articles you have located.
• • Submission Instructions:
1. Continue the process you began in Learning Experience with the goal of conducting as many
searches as needed to locate the most meaningful peer-reviewed articles regarding your topic. 2. Write a detailed, step-by-step description of how you searched terms, used Boolean operators,
and then narrowed your search to the required five articles for this literature review.
3. Create the first table, the “Audit Trail of Electronic Resources,” with five (5) columns (an
exemplary model is provided by Sara Villanueva in Villanueva & Huber, 2019, p. 30105, Table 2, and p. 30110, Figure 1) :
a. List “Database(s) Searched”;
b. Specify “Dates Reviewed”—if not including an entire year, include months (e.g., 2015 to 2020
May—which means all months in all years from 2015 to 2019 were searched with the exception
of 2020 that was only searched through May);
c. Identify “Search Terms with Boolean Operators” (see Galvan & Galvan, 2017, pp. 29-30,Step 3)
as they were searched:
c.1 Either written: reading AND text comprehension AND math performance
c.2 Or written: “reading” AND “text comprehension” AND “math performance”;
d. Identify the number of “Sources Located”; and
e. Identify the number of “Relevant Sources” (those sources which are meaningful to your topic of
review), as well as noting duplications.
4. Include the five resources along with other required materials on the “References” list.
